Project Description
Hiking
The Kawanhee Inn is nestled on the shores of Webb Lake at the base of Mount Blue State Park. A nationally recognized hiking area, there is a multitude of hiking options for all to enjoy. From easy strolls through the wilderness to technical rock climbing, the Inn staff will be happy to direct you on your way.
Two of the more spectacular hikes include the State Park’s namesake, Mt. Blue and also the stunning Tumbledown Mountain. Hikers summiting Tumbledown can enjoy a swim or even fishing in the spectacular Crater Lake at over 3,000 ft. Trail maps and guide services are available at the Inn.
Local artist S. W. Hilton has created the graphic below as a guide to popular Weld hikes. A large, beautiful print is available at the Weld General Store.
Please Note: Chimney Trail illustrated on the map is currently closed to the public.
